BULLSEYE
Back in 1990, if you wanted to eschew Shimano or Suntour there were no alternatives. No Chris King, Ringlé or PMP to put up a faster pair of wheels. No alternatives but one. Bullseye.
With their smoother cartridge bearings and lighter flanges glued to alloy multicolored bodies, Bullseye hubs graced the coolest bikes on the planet. Yeti, Slingshot, high end Trek carbon bikes, they all turned to Bullseye to allow their riders that slight advantage which is so important when you struggle for a top ten finish in a NORBA race.
And if you think the Shimano integrated cranks brought a revolution in the world of MTB components, you should know that Bullseye already equipped Yetis with their two-piece steel cranks back in 1990. Lighter and much stiffer, they were in a league of their own. Bullseye were the cranks to have, back then.
Retro bikers bursted into joyful tears when they found out that Bullseye was back in business. So did we. The statement on their web page epitomizes the F.R.O. IMPORT philosophy: “Our dedication to Old School values and our embracement of New School technology have played important roles in our approach to design and build components we feel passionate about”. Bulletproof products, technologically advanced and beautiful to look at (to stare at, actually). And yes, “for discriminating riders”. So, if you are after hubs, stems or pedals, give a look at www.bullseyecycleusa.com. At least you can see how your gear should look like.
